WHAT A WICKED GAME YOU PLAY

Peitho hails from Greek myth and primarily represents persuasion and seduction. She also represents bridal abduction, forceful inducement and charming speech. As a love deity, Peitho is part of Aphrodite's retinue and is cited as nursing the young erotes. She's the wife of Hermes and her attributes include a ball of twine used for binding couples together and a white dove. I wouldn't plan on getting her mad unless you really wanted to be in love with a goat (in which case, you have problems).

Really, Peitho likes to believe she's a good egg and to some extent she is. She can be patient and polite and kind to those who need it, playful and charming to those who don't. She'll laugh at your jokes and make her own, but that's all in good fun, right? Wrong. Not only is she married to a trickster, but she's the embodiment seduction itself; basically, she's out to get you. She's a manipulative little scamp who loves to toy with humans (and gods, and whatever else she can get her hands on), so watch out. You have been warned.

OUT OF CHARACTER

[Parentage:] In myth there are about four known parents/sets of parents for Peitho. Hesiod named her as a daughter of Okeanos & Tethys, making her primarily an oceanid, and this is the classification I'm using, a) because she's married to

msg_ina_bottle and being your husband's daughter is just too redneck for us and b) we think Hesiod's cooler. Please keep this in mind when interacting with her, thanks.
